Our Company has History

Our journey began more than 30 years ago when our family started working in the industry. We learned the ins and outs of the trade through the experience and knowledge passed down by our parents. Over the years, we spent countless hours working knitting machines under the tutelage of the best technicians from around the world. They taught us everything we know about how knitwear is constructed.

Wool can be moulded, much like clay, and the finished result is a work of art that takes full shape under masterful hands. While our hands may no longer be at the machine, we work with the best. We source items from top designers and brands around the world. Everything we sell is made from high-quality merino fleece that is delicately spun into the finest wool and knitted to perfection.

Through this commitment to quality, our company has managed to stand out over the years. We’ve been supplying Australia and New Zealand with our fine clothing for decades. As happens in every family-owned business, the time came for change. In 2009 we left the family business to begin our own knitwear supply company, and by 2012 we’d earned enough success to buy out that business. Today, Merino Wool Knitwear continues to provide high-quality merino knitwear in Australia and New Zealand. Our styles are classic, and our knits continue to follow a long tradition of excellence.
